Pecksniffian Leanings

Sanctimonious asshats. I love an election year, as much as I love Jon Stewart (I don't care that you're four feet tall, I know we can make it work).

Writing to come later, lovelies, it's a Cleaning Day for me.

Oh I wish, OH HOW I WISH, that I could stay up and watch Stewart/Colbert. Stupid 6am shift. :(

Have you seen this yet?

Yes, I did see that one, and tewtally LOLed--although I'm less concerned about her crappy parenting skills and more concerned about how Hillary voters are supposedly buying into the McPalin bullshit... if that's true, then they're doing a disservice to Hillary Clinton and the entire Democratic Party. I hope those reports are wrong. Just because she has a vagina doesn't make her anything like Hillary--especially since Hillary has balls (the good kind).

That being said, I have known people who were such die-hard Hill fans, they said they weren't going to vote OR were going to vote Republican. That makes absolutely no sense to me. Get out of the Democratic Party and take your misguided righteous ignorance to those who will listen: the GOP. They're looking for a few good whiners.

Great clip. I think calling out the media on their BS is more entertaining that going after the politicians.

Jon Stewart is known for doing the comparison thing, but not a lot of other people do. I find it more interesting, too!

Sweet fancy Moses, I love me some Jon Stewart. I watched the Rep. Convention the other night and just kept thinking, "Did she actually just say that?"

I'm watching the Youtube video right now and I'm screaming OH MY GOD DID SHE REALLY JUST SAY THAT?? at my computer screen. And the answer is: YEP.

I am a die-hard Hillary fan, and I will vote for Obama in the fall, albeit grudgingly. "Hope" and "Change" don't really tell me how you're going to fix everything from global warming to the war in Iraq (I mean really people, even Jon Stewart made fun of Obama's speech...no one can do that much) especially if you have no experience, being a centrist can actually get something done...but I digress.

Palin is so different from Hillary on every issue I can't believe that people would respond to such direct pandering. Just because they both have a vagina does not make them interchangeable (shows how highly the republicans think of the female vote).

Loved the Daily Show the other night...I can't access YouTube from work. Did you see the Samantha Bee piece about getting Republicans to say "choice"? I practically fell off the couch I laughed so hard.

See, you make more sense to me. That's because Lil Red is smarter than me, y'all. And I understand how people eyeroll at Hope and Change and Lalalalalaaa, but the fact is: McCain is four more years of the last eight, and I'm willing to take a risk on ANYONE ELSE right now.

I also liked Obama's DNC speech, I felt like it was more specific to certain issues where before he had a lot of gray area. And who am I kidding? ANY Democrat in office is going to have to spend the next four years cleaning up after Bush, so who knows how much can realistically be done?

Heading to Youtube for the Samantha Bee bit, I love her!
