Good For Any Wedding Reception

WHAT THE EFF. This was innocently hung on the wall behind me at O'Houlie's, which was a fun/frightening karaoke bar we went to last Friday night. One of the local yokels stared me down while I was taking the photo, as though I was offending her bad taste in white trash hybrid cocktails; she looked like a 'Chelada' fan, basically. She was probably drinking it while giving me the evil eye, although she didn't keel over from the taste, so maybe not.

If you're looking for 'classy', look no further, my friends; your dream drink just arrived. Because when I think of making a nice, mixed beverage--an alcoholic one, mind you--I immediately think of CLAMATO JUICE. The intoxicating rush of clams and tomatoes in a can, together at last. But wait! Don't forget to add the refreshing taste of BUD LIGHT: aromatic, low-caloried, and loaded with frothy, pee-tasting goodness--the perfect accoutrement to any can of clam juice. Put them together, give 'em a sassy name that reminds you of a Gloria Estefan song, and they will be unstoppable.

[RADWORDS]: CLAMATO, BUD LIGHT, CHELADA, O'HOULIE'S, PEE-TASTING GOODNESS.

I do enjoy a red beer every now and then but I DO not use Clamato. I use Campbell's tomato juice and either High Life or MGD and it is GOOOOOOOD!

OH JESUS CHRIST NO

OMG, that sounds SO gross!

I hope you had a little fun at O'Houlies Sn0tty :)

Our bar does not offer Clamato, but people ask for it all the frickin' time for Bloody Caesars. I have come to wonder about its mysterious pull, though not enough to sample a Chelada.

Uhm, I'm going to have to concur with Sn0tty here; that sounds fucking repugnant.

But would I be willing to try it? Oh yes. :)

Btw, O'Houlies rulz yo. MLTizzle Fo shizzle. Or something.

DUDE, O'Houlie's was AMAZING. But also a bit frightening, since some of the people were a little... challenged. Not us, though--we were perfect. :)

Will be posting pics from that night on the Photo Blog, too! I can't wait for another O'Houlie's night out. If we want to have a really good laugh, we should take the Esq.

Matt, GROOOOOOOOSS. Don't do it.

I don't even know what a Bloody Caesar is. Except for the actual Caesar, who was probably pretty bloody in the end.

Yes, but have you tried one?

I tried a 'red beer' once, a long time ago, and it wasn't something I'd do again. Which is why it's hard for me to understand adding CLAM to it. It must be good for a bunch of people to be clamoring for it--get it, CLAMoring HAR HAR--but since I'm not into beer OR tomato juice, it's not for me. There are good beers and good tomato juice, so maybe it's the branding--but I think it's just my taste buds.

Bburpf! Oh man, I just threw up in my mouth a little.

Snotty McSnotterson said...

That's just the clamato talking.

Well it doesn't so bad if you were to subsitute champagne for the Bud Light and hold the Clamato.

And is it just me or does "Chelada" bring to mind this word: "chupacabra?"

Snotty McSnotterson said...

Chelada and chupacabra are way too much alike, I agree. Unfortunately, I think they're only alike in the 'has a few of the same letters in their name' kind of way.

Oooh, it's a date - I totally think you should bring the Esq next time :) And the rest of the gang too!

The Montana in me can't deny a good red beer when the mood hits. But something about the Chelada is sick and wrong. And I tell Mike that every time he drinks one! You can take the folks out of MT - but you cant take the MT out of the folks.

Snotty McSnotterson said...

It's true! Although you're the only MT folks I know :) But I'll take your word for it.
